NSS-NCC

National Cadet Corps

This college offers NCC (Navy) to the male students. NCC instills in young minds discipline, regularity, punctuality and a sense of honour and pride of belonging to our country. It gives a chance for the students to take up "B" and "C" certificate exams at the end of the first and second year training respectively. Cadets can enjoy the experience of participating in various camps. In a training year 40 parades are conducted each comprising two hours. "C" certificate holders can obtain a commission in the Indian Defence Services in their reserved quota. Weightage of marks is given to NCC certificate holders in various interviews of the state and central government jobs.

National Service Scheme

There are four units of NSS in the college with 100 student volunteers in each unit. This scheme is provided so that students learn to be made for others through service to the people around them. They have annual camps in villages in the district to learn to live with the people, understand their difficulties and help them to find people solutions ^to their problems. This college has always given much importance to sports and games. Students continue to marvel in games, especially in football, cricket and in athletics and they have been chosen for various jobs. Sufficient number of playgrounds are there. Students participate in the inter-collegiate tournaments in the state, University and in the district.
